Child Passenger Safety Seats

Spanish Lake Fire Protection District has multiple employees that have taken Safe Kids Worldwide's  National Child Passenger Safety classs to obtain their Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) Certificate. This certificate arms our employees with the knowledge on child passenger safety seats and proper installation to help ensure the safety of the children in our community while they are traveling in a vehicle.

I have a child passenger safety seat, but I need help installing it 

To schedule an appointment with  one of our CPSTs to install or check the installation of a child passenger safety seat, please call us at 314-741-7300. Please have the make and model of the your vehicel, the make and model of your child passenger safety seat, and child's current height and weight when you call to schedule. This information will help your CPST prepare for your visit and ensure proper insallation of the seat.  We will need your child to accompany you to the appointment as the child needs to be fit to the seat as well as the seat to your vehicle.

Do you offer free child passenger safety seats? 

Spanish Lake Fire Protection District has partnered with Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in a grant funded program through MODOT that may provide one child safety seat per safety seat lifetime of a child at no cost to you. To see if you are eligable for this program, please call Cardinal Glennon at  314-268-2700 as all seat approvals must go through them.
